Abstract

A short story in four parts describing what a cross functional autonomous product team in the Norwegian Labour and Welfare Administration learned from making remote work… work. I’ve been a software engineer for over 23 years and always enjoyed remote and asynchronous work. This is however the first time I’ve experienced remote synchronous work be really effective across all professional disciplines, not only developers. It took a lot of experimenting to get it right and the question is: what will we do when our old team room becomes available again?
