TechDebt 2021
Wed 19 - Fri 21 May 2021
co-located with ICSE 2021
Thu 20 May 2021 16:00 - 16:50 at TechDebt Room - Keynote Chair(s): Alexander Chatzigeorgiou

Digitalization is shortening cycles for all digital technologies, causing the adoption of DevOps for software, DataOps for data and AIOps for machine learning. Technical debt extends to all these technologies, but to date little research is available on managing technical debt for data and machine learning. Based on a decade of collaboration in the context of Software Center (a research initiative including 16 multi-national companies and five universities), I will discuss the evolution of technology in industry, the implications for managing technical debt and focus on the contemporary and future challenges.
