Bio:

I am currently an Associate Head of School, Research, at the School of Information Technology at Deakin University, Australia and an Australian Research Council Discovery Early Career Researcher Award (DECRA) 2020 recipient. My research expertise focuses on designing, implementing, and evaluating interactive systems that leverage emerging virtual and augmented reality infrastructures and technologies. My work received 2022 Endeavour Award Excellence in Manufacturing Skills Development, 2020 and 2018 Victorian Premier’s Design Award Finalist, and 2019 Interaction Awards Finalist. I hold 1 US patent and an Australian provisional patent application. In my work, I often apply human factors, user experience and interaction design principles to produce engaging, interactive, and novel experiences, especially in the area of public spaces, exhibitions, education, manufacturing, arts, and health. I have previously collaborated with Scienceworks, Geelong Football Club, Science Gallery Melbourne, National Gallery Victoria, Channel 11, and the Royal Children Hospital.
