Jeff Offutt is professor of Software Engineering and Associate Chair of Computer Science at George Mason University. He is widely known for work on mutation testing, web app testing, and dynamic symbolic execution; and helped found the field of model-based testing. He was editor-in-chief of the journal of Software Testing, Verification, and Reliability; co-authored the book Introduction to Software Testing (STVR); and co-founded the International Conference on Software Testing (ICST). He has published more than 200 research papers, received several major awards for both research and teaching, and been awarded two Most Influential Papers and an ACM Notable paper.
